How to put this app on a phone

There is nothing to download from an app store yet — this is a website that can sit on a phone like an app. Once it is on the home screen, the crown is one tap away, and the twelve struggles open even without a signal. Until there is an actual app, this is the way to keep it close.

On an iPhone

On an iPhone this part is yours to do — Safari gives an app no button for it. Three taps:

  1. Tap the Share button in Safari — the square with an arrow pointing up.
  2. Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
  3. Tap Add. The crown will be sitting on your home screen, like any other app.

On an Android phone

On an Android phone, Chrome keeps this in its own menu. Three taps:

  1. Tap the three dots in the top corner of Chrome to open its menu.
  2. Tap Add to Home screen. On some phones the menu says Install instead — either one is the right door.
  3. Tap Install, or Add, to confirm. The crown will appear on the home screen, and from then on it opens like any app.

On Samsung Internet or another browser, look in its menu for Add page to, or Add to Home screen — the wording differs a little from browser to browser, but the door is there.

This page exists because there is no app-store version yet. When there is one, this page will say so.
