Privacy
You may share tender things here. This page explains, in plain words, what we keep and how we care for it. No legal maze — just what is true.
What we store
When you create an account we store your email address and a display name if you choose to add one. Your password is handled by Supabase, our secure backend — it is stored only in protected, scrambled form, and no one here can ever read it.
How your data is protected
Every piece of your data lives behind something called row-level security. In plain terms: the database itself is locked so that each row of your information can only be opened by you, signed in as you. It is not a policy we promise to follow — it is a lock built into the foundation.
Posting anonymously
When you post anonymously in the Prayer Hub, no other user can see who you are — not on the page, and not in the data their browser receives, so there is nothing hidden there to uncover. Your post is still linked to your account inside the database. That link is what lets you delete it whenever you want, and no one else — including other users — can reach it.
Getting things off your chest
Part of this app is a quiet place to write out whatever you’re carrying, and then choose what happens to it. If you choose to keep what you wrote, it’s saved where the app will never show it to anyone but you — not other people here, not a moderator, not even the person who runs this app. The app has no screen, no tool, and no override that opens your words to anyone else, and the database enforces that for every request the app can make. The honest fine print: like any hosted service, the underlying storage is administered by its provider and this app’s founder. Nothing here is built to open your words, and nothing ever will be. If you choose to let it go instead, the words were never saved anywhere — they existed only on your screen, and releasing them is the whole point. Anything you kept you can delete whenever you want, and deleting it is real and permanent.
What this app keeps on your phone
If you keep this app on your phone, it stores a copy of the things that should never depend on a signal: all twelve struggles, word for word, and two complete Bibles — the King James Version and the World English Bible, both public domain. It is a few megabytes of plain text, downloaded quietly in the background, so a struggle you have never opened is still there when you have no bars.
What you write is treated differently. If you keep something you wrote, a copy may sit on your phone so you can read it back with no connection, and it stays only until you sign out. Signing out removes it, along with everything else on the phone that belongs to you. The shared part stays, because it is the same for everyone and private to no one.
Nothing from Community is ever stored on your phone. Other people’s prayer requests and stories are read fresh every time, and no copy is left behind — so nothing anyone confided lands on a device that is not theirs, and anything taken down stays down.
There is no button inside the app for clearing what it keeps. Two doors do that instead: signing out removes everything of yours, and your browser or your phone’s own settings clear the rest whenever you want them to.
One honest note about iPhones: if you only visit this site and never add it to your home screen, Safari may clear what was kept after about a week of not opening it. Adding it to your home screen is what makes it stay.
What we will never do
We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers or anyone else. There are no third-party trackers and no ads — not now, not quietly later. Even our fonts are served from our own site so that no outside company sees your visit.
One thing we do count: how often the public pages — the ones anyone can read without signing in — are opened, so the founder can see whether sharing the link is working; that count uses no cookies, records nothing that says who you are, includes nothing from the rooms that are yours, and the scrambled request signature it briefly relies on is thrown away within a day.
Deleting your data
Your data is yours. If you would like your account and everything connected to it removed, email the founder at sd.agency5280@gmail.com and it will be deleted — no questions, no hoops, no wait for a “retention period.”
If anything changes
If how we handle data ever changes, this page will say so plainly before it happens. What will not change: your words are yours, and they are safe here.
